Quinta de Amares, with an extension of vineyards with approximately 50 hectares, is located in the portuguese municipality of Amares, in the heart of the Demarcated Region of Vinhos Verdes, in the small village of Sto. André de Rendufe, land of deep and historical religious traditions.

Contiguous to the Monastery "Mosteiro de Rendufe", the Estate is exposed to South, with a sunny and very unique climatic conditions.

On our property we present a trinomial special conjugation of terroir - climate - grapes, with unique conditions, allowing the production of exceptional wines.

Vinhos verdes Quinta D'Amares, which have been awarded several times in national and international wine competitions, are produced from selected grapes different varieties and will undoubtedly surprise the customer with its unique characteristics.

Quinta D'Amares wine production Quinta D'Amares wine cellar is equipped with the most modern technology, being perfectly adapted to the needs of production. Transporting the grapes to the winery takes place in a short time, thus ensuring a high quality of the grapes. All materials in contact with wine, namely presses, fermentation tanks and storage are made of stainless steel, which ensures that the fermentation process is carried out according to the highest quality standards.

The fermentation is carried out under temperature control (between 13ºC and 15ºC), the pressing is smooth so that the whole process takes place in the most natural way possible, which allows to obtain must of great aromatic intensity and wines of soft and delicate taste.

Quinta D'Amares wine production Vinho Verde DOP It is produced in the Região Demarcada dos Vinhos Verdes, in the northwest of Portugal, an area traditionally known as Entre-Douro-e-Minho. Its boundaries lie to the north of Minho River - natural frontier with Galiza-, the east and south mountainous areas that constitute the natural separation between Entre-Douro-e-Minho Atlantic and the more interior zones of the country with more Mediterranean characteristics, and lastly the Atlantic Ocean which constitutes its western limit.

Cultural issues, categories of wine, microclimates and vineyards led to the division of Região Demarcada dos Vinhos Verdes into nine sub-regions: Amarante, Ave, Baião, Basto, Cávado, Lima, Monção and Melgaço, Braga, Paiva and Sousa.

Since the technology involved in its elaboration is extremely simple, Vinho Verde can be considered a direct product and without technological devices. It was never more certain that "wine is whatever the vine that produces it", resulting in wines unique in the world. Vinho Verde is a fruity wine, natural, fresh and easy to drink. a great aperitif or an excellent choice in harmony with light and balanced meals: salads, fish, seafood, white meats, tapas and other oriental and international dishes. Quinta D'Amares produces two varieties of products classified as Vinho Verde DOP ( Protected Designation of Origin) and Vinho Regional Minho IG.
